Preparation is the key to success in handling emergencies.
Public safety experts agree that the two most important
things to do to be ready are (1) create a family emergency
plan and discuss it with all family members, and (2) build a
kit so you are able to be self-sufficient for 72 hours after
an emergency. In addition, make sure you have a plan for
your place of employment as well as for your children at
school.
