 Snowmobile accident 2-27-10
DCSO investigated a single snowmobile accident that occurred on 2-27-2010. The accident
occurred on the ice near the Marble Beach area of Big Spirit Lake. Diane Ringquist (50) of
Jackson MN was driving a 2000 Arctic cat snowmobile northbound on the ice when she hit a
snow drift and rolled. $300 damage estimated to the snowmobile. Ringquist could not give
her location on the lake. She was located by the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office cellular 911
GPS locating system. A Sheriff's Deputy then went to the area and was able to find Ringquist
using a handheld Thermal Imager. Ringquist was transported to LRH with non-incapacitating
injuries by Ambulance.
The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office received the Thermal Imager through a grant program.
